Founded in 2025, Home Based was created to bring a more personalized and local approach to the food Kansas City eats at home — one rooted in connection, creativity, and care. With deep experience in both the Culinary Arts and Food Science industries, our Chef + Owner, Megan Weathers, brings technical expertise and inventive flavor to every dish.
We believe that meals should nourish more than just the body. Whether it’s weekly prep or a special gathering, Home Based is built to make mealtimes feel easier, more intentional, and more enjoyable — all from the comfort of your own home.
